The Story: Icarus
Son of Daedalus who dared to fly too near the sun on wings of feathers and wax. Daedalus had been imprisoned by King Minos of Crete within the walls of his own invention, the Labyrinth. But the great craftsman's genius would not suffer captivity. He made two pairs of wings by adhering feathers to a wooden frame with wax. Giving one pair to his son, he cautioned him that flying too near the sun would cause the wax to melt. But Icarus became ecstatic with the ability to fly and forgot his father's warning. The feathers came loose and Icarus plunged to his death in the sea.

It's so dynamic! I feel like I'm falling myself
I really like the colour of the background used in this piece. Icarus's pose and facial expression are also brilliant
Wow - great use of the wings!

God willing next year, so when is Easter? we are on the second day of Passover, you are luck you don't have to eat Matza...does a number on your tummy. At this point I am going to teach them Harry Potter, after I teach a poem by Zelda [link](poet)because of Yom HaShoah (Holocaust and Heroism Remembrance Day) [link] the week after Passover.
Today is Easter. I never tried matza..so it's overrated? lol! Your links are giving me an idea to create something about them. I haven't seen the last two or three Harry Potter movies but I like the series.
I wrote my phd on Harry potter and narnia and the wizard of oz....so I recommend the books....I have read them many times in English and Hebrew. I was born in the u.s. but have been in Israel since I was five.
This is awesome, love it. Good luck in the comp Thanks for sharing with me
How very neat. I was not quite sure how you were fitting that into the Icarus concept but it works well.
